We carry both Medline and Invacare beds which do not need special linens, they fit your standard twin sheet set and are available to rent or purchase.
A hospital bed is a good choice if a person medically qualifies. Beds are covered by most insurances if the patient medically qualifies. A hospital bed allows a person to easily position him/herself and offers the security of side safety rails. (Full or Half rails available)
Most insurance policies cover semi-electric hospital beds. The only difference between a semi and full electric bed is that on a full electric, the height is adjustable by push button; whereas a semi-electric adjusts the height with a hand-crank. Medicare does not cover full electric hospital beds because they consider them to be a “convenience” item, although if you feel that a full electric bed would benefit you, certain circumstances may be arranged for the patient to pay the difference in cost. Although once most patients get the height of their bed where it is comfortable, they rarely change it.
