Diabetes patients find several categories of products for their special needs.

The Ascensia Breeze™ blood glucose monitoring system which features a 10-test disc for no-strip handling is one such item. The Ascensia Contour™ blood glucose monitoring system for use with Ascensia Contour blood glucose meter and test strips are other choices. Lancets and containers for sharps disposables are also available. Other related product categories are:

  • Aids for erectile dysfunction
  • Med Peds crew socks
  • Smartknit seamless socks by Knit-Rite including Coolmax/Lycra or X-STATIC—The Silver Fiber. Both are moisture-wicking fibers to help keep the foot environment dry and also provide an anti-microbial that inhibits fungal and bacterial growth in the sock

Freeport Home Medical is contracted through Beyer to provide meters and test strips. Since we have an agreement with them, we are able to provide the Beyer Breeze 2 at no charge.*

Then, if this is going to be billed to your insurance, we will do all of the paperwork that is needed to have them pay for it. Most insurance’s require a co-pay which varies.

Below you will find how many stips/lancets etc. Medicare provides. Although it varies greately, most private insurances follow similar rules. We would be happy to verify what your private insurance does cover, just contact us for more information!
