Lloyd (Butch) M. DaMask brings a variety of professional experiences to Freeport Home Medical Equipment (FHME) including skills in quality control, operations, mechanics and maintenance, repair, and trouble shooting. He joined FHME in 2010.

Lloyd earned his license and certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center’s Northern Illinois Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in Rockford, IL. Included in his classroom training and hands-on experience were managing respiratory, trauma, cardiac emergencies, and patient assessment.

Prior to joining FHME, Lloyd held supervisory positions in the food industry and for manufacturers of metal fabrications. He also assisted with product development. Born and raised in Chicago, Lloyd spent most of his career in Chicago and suburban areas. In 2003, he and his family moved to Freeport where he held positions with two local food processing firms.

An Armed Services Veteran, Lloyd served in the United States Marine Corps where, among other things, he installed fire protection devices and packed parachutes for C-130s.

Known lovingly by his nickname, Butch, his hobbies include woodworking, n-gauge model railroads, and baking. He prefers to work in walnut and oak and enjoys building fireplace mantles, custom boxes, and urns. He’s building a mini-city layout in his basement with the help of his four-year-old grandson. His favorite recipe is for white chocolate cake. Lloyd and his wife, Jamie, have three children and an infant grand daughter.
