Jae Hezlep is a relative newcomer to Freeport Home Medical Equipment, Inc.; however, she is no stranger to Freeport or health care. Jae has spent her career as a marketing professional with an emphasis on brand management, and particularly publicity and special events.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Jae is a graduate of Iowa State University. Her first job was at Carson Pirie Scott & Co. in the Publicity Department. Over the years she has worked for Public Relations agencies and managed accounts such as Western Publishing and Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Jae was a Publicity Project Manager for Kraft, Inc. and worked on the Cracker Jack brand when it was owned by Borden.
In the early ‘90s Jae fell in love with the sunset at Lake Carroll, changed her life, and relocated to northwest Illinois. She joined FHN in 1992, where she worked, mostly in marketing, until last fall. Her last position there was as Development Manager of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NW IL, a program of FHN Family Counseling Center.
Planning educational presentations and providing speakers for programs pertinent to home health care and equipment and other senior issues are among Jae’s current responsibilities. She welcomes calls from organizations who are seeking a speaker or a partnership.
In her free time, Jae loves to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with friends and family. She is also a freelance writer and is training to be a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation.
